**Profectus HIV MAG pDNA vaccine** is an investigational multiantigen plasmid-DNA therapeutic and preventive HIV-1 vaccine developed by Profectus BioSciences. The product is an admixture of two DNA expression vectors that encode HIV-1 clade B antigens: Gag/Pol, Nef/Tat/Vif, and Env gp160. Following intramuscular administration with electroporation, host cells express these antigens to elicit HIV-specific cellular immune responses, including T-cell responses. It was studied in Phase 1 trials in people with HIV-1 receiving antiretroviral therapy and in healthy HIV-uninfected adults, often with separately co-administered IL-12 plasmid-DNA adjuvant and, in some studies, a subsequent recombinant VSV-Gag boost.
