Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**ProGly-Uricase** is a proprietary recombinant uricase enzyme engineered by incorporating non-standard amino acids (NSAAs) via GRO Biosciences' ProGly platform to prevent the development of anti-drug antibodies (ADAs), a major limitation of existing uricase therapies. It enzymatically degrades uric acid into allantoin, rapidly lowering serum uric acid levels to enable long-term control in patients with severe, refractory gout unresponsive to conventional treatments like xanthine oxidase inhibitors. The company is advancing it toward clinical proof-of-concept studies following Series B financing to address the unmet need in this patient population.
