Overview
ProGo is a bioprocessed marine protein hydrolysate derived from Atlantic salmon (*Salmo salar*), developed by Hofseth BioCare. It is composed of highly bioavailable bioactive peptides and amino acids, produced through a proprietary enzymatic hydrolysis process that preserves the nutritional integrity of the source material. ProGo is primarily positioned as a nutraceutical and functional food ingredient, with clinical evidence supporting its use in weight management (reduction of BMI) and the treatment of iron deficiency anemia. Beyond metabolic and nutritional health, it is being investigated in preclinical and early-stage clinical research for its potential anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects in conditions such as necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), sarcopenia, and rheumatoid arthritis.
