Overview

Project Amethyst is a patented oral combination therapy developed for the treatment of neurodegeneration in multiple sclerosis (MS). It consists of three repurposed, previously approved drugs—minocycline (an antibiotic with immunomodulatory and neuroprotective properties), fluconazole (an antifungal agent), and atorvastatin (a cholesterol-lowering statin with potential immunomodulatory effects). The formulation was originally developed by researchers in Italy, and GlobeStar Therapeutics holds the exclusive global license. Early clinical studies in MS patients have shown promising results, including reductions in disability scores, improvements in motor control and balance, better bladder control, reduced fatigue, and decreased brain lesions on MRI. The drug is currently being advanced through clinical trials with partnerships for development and distribution across several regions[1][2][4][6].
