Prolact HM

Prolact HM is a pasteurized human milk product manufactured by Prolacta Bioscience. It is intended for use as a nutritional source when mother’s own milk is unavailable, particularly in neonatal intensive care settings. The product consists of 100% donor human milk that has been screened for drugs and infectious agents, then pasteurized to reduce pathogenic viruses (such as HIV, HBV, HCV) and bacteria (including E. coli, S. aureus, Klebsiella species). Prolact HM provides at least 67 kcal per 100 mL but contains no added minerals or fortifiers; it is nutritionally incomplete and may require supplementation with vitamins and iron depending on the infant's needs. The primary indication is for feeding premature or critically ill infants who cannot receive their mother's own breast milk[1].
