Overview

Prolox is a topical formulation of minoxidil developed by Percos for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (hair loss) in both men and women. Minoxidil is a potassium channel opener and vasodilator that stimulates hair growth by widening blood vessels and improving blood flow to hair follicles. This action prolongs the anagen (growth) phase of the hair cycle and prevents hair follicle shrinkage. Prolox is available in various strengths, including Prolox 5 (5% minoxidil) and Prolox-DS 10 (10% minoxidil).
