Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ProLYOtin is a lyophilized whey protein isolate (WPI) specifically formulated for enhanced palatability compared to standard whey proteins. It is primarily investigated for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and metabolic benefits in populations with obesity, overweight, and type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2). The supplement works by increasing the activity of antioxidant enzymes such as glutathione peroxidase and reducing levels of uric acid, which is often elevated in metabolic syndrome. Clinical studies have demonstrated that daily supplementation with 40g of ProLYOtin over 12 weeks can lead to significant improvements in body composition, specifically reducing fat mass and improving anthropometric parameters, without adverse effects on glycemic markers or blood pressure. It is developed by Pro-Bio srl.
