Overview
PRONULIFE IntBrain is a functional probiotic ingredient blend developed by GLAC Biotech Co., Ltd. (豐華生物科技) specifically formulated to support brain health and cognitive function through the gut-brain axis. The product consists of a proprietary blend of five probiotic strains, including four strains of *Bifidobacterium* and one strain of *Lactobacillus*, selected for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Its mechanism of action involves the secretion of high levels of butyric acid (a short-chain fatty acid) and the elevation of serum brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels. Additionally, it optimizes the gut microbiota by increasing beneficial bacteria such as *Bifidobacteria*, *Akkermansia*, and *Clostridia*. PRONULIFE IntBrain is intended for use in dietary supplements and functional foods, targeting healthy aging, memory improvement, and the prevention of dementia symptoms. It has been evaluated in clinical settings, including a 12-week randomized, double-blind active-controlled study in patients with Alzheimer's dementia.
