ProOmega Junior

ProOmega Junior is a concentrated omega-3 fatty acid dietary supplement, specifically the Nordic Naturals formulation, containing eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). It was investigated in a Phase 4 clinical trial led by Massachusetts General Hospital as an adjunctive treatment for children and adolescents (ages 6-17) diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) who also exhibit deficient emotional self-regulation (DESR). The supplement's mechanism of action involves the modulation of cell membrane fluidity and the optimization of neurotransmitter signaling pathways. While the pilot study indicated that the supplement did not significantly alter core ADHD symptoms, it demonstrated a significant clinical response in improving emotional self-regulation symptoms, with approximately 70% of subjects responding favorably based on Clinical Global Impression scores.
