Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LSI-102 is a pre-mixed intravenous combination of the sedative-hypnotic propofol and the local anesthetic lidocaine, developed by LipoSeuticals. It is intended for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia. The formulation is designed to address the clinical challenge of pain on injection, a frequent side effect of propofol, by incorporating lidocaine directly into the lipid-based emulsion. This reformulation aims to improve patient comfort and streamline the administration process in clinical settings compared to the reference product, Diprivan.
