Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Propomax (also known as Clinical Propolis Spray) is a line of propolis-based oral and topical sprays developed by the Brazilian company Apis Flora. The products utilize the EPP-AF standardized propolis extract, which is primarily derived from Brazilian green propolis (*Baccharis dracunculifolia*). This standardized extract is characterized by high concentrations of bioactive compounds, most notably Artepillin C, which confers antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immunomodulatory properties. The Propomax line includes several formulations tailored for specific needs, such as throat irritation relief, voice regeneration, and oral purification, often incorporating additional natural ingredients like honey, ginger, or pomegranate. Clinical studies have shown the spray to be 99% effective against common oral pathogens, including *Staphylococcus aureus* and *Streptococcus mutans*, making it a widely used natural solution for maintaining oral hygiene and treating minor throat discomfort.
