Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Elacur Hot is a topical vasodilator cream containing **propyl nicotinate** (2.0%) as its active ingredient. Developed and marketed by **RIEMSER**, it is indicated for the relief of muscle tension and pain associated with conditions such as myalgias, neuralgias, and rheumatic complaints. Upon topical application, propyl nicotinate acts as a vasodilator, increasing local blood flow and generating a warming effect in the treated area. The product has been specifically investigated in a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled Phase III clinical trial in Germany as an adjuvant treatment for chronic non-specific low back pain. It is intended for use in adults and children over 12 years of age.
