While historically used in Europe for the treatment of **congestive heart failure** and **cardiac arrhythmias**, recent research has focused on its repositioning as an anti-cancer agent. In **glioblastoma**, Proscillaridin A has been shown to induce GSK3β activation, which leads to the phosphorylation of the microtubule-plus-end-tracking protein EB1, resulting in altered microtubule dynamics, impaired cell migration, and selective cytotoxicity against tumor and stem-like cells.
