Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Prospekta** is a Russian nootropic pharmaceutical product developed by Materia Medica Holding. It is supplied as oral lozenges containing modified, affinity-purified antibodies to the brain-specific calcium-binding protein S-100, identified in the product information as S100B. The manufacturer describes modulation of S100B functional activity, with downstream effects on neuronal signaling and neurotransmitter-system balance. In Russia, the product is indicated for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder in children aged 7 years and older, as well as selected cognitive, asthenic, and anxiety-related conditions in adults. A 363-patient randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 3 study in children with ADHD reported a statistically significant but modest improvement versus placebo after eight weeks. Prospekta has also been studied in Phase 3 trials for post-COVID-19 asthenia and vascular dementia. The active substance is an antibody preparation rather than a conventional chemically defined small molecule, and conventional pharmacokinetic measurement is stated by the manufacturer to be technically infeasible because of the product composition.
