Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Prospera I-125 (Model MED3631-A/M) is a brachytherapy seed device developed by Brachytherapy Services, Inc. It consists of sealed radioactive seeds containing Iodine-125 (I-125), a radioisotope that emits low-energy gamma radiation. These seeds are designed for interstitial implantation directly into cancerous tissue, providing localized radiation therapy while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy organs. It is primarily used for the treatment of localized tumors, such as prostate cancer, where internal radiation therapy is indicated.
