Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Prostalmet Plus is an oral dietary supplement formulated to support prostate health and manage symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Developed by New Marketlink Pharmaceutical and its subsidiary New Willore Pharma, each softgel capsule contains a combination of saw palmetto extract (320 mg), zinc (6.4 mg), and lycopene (300 mcg). Saw palmetto acts as a mild inhibitor of 5-alpha-reductase (both type 1 and type 2 isoforms), reducing the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in prostate tissue to alleviate urinary symptoms. Zinc and lycopene provide essential antioxidant support, protecting prostate cells from oxidative damage and inhibiting disease progression.
