Overview

This multi-peptide vaccine is an investigational biologic developed by the University Hospital Tuebingen for the treatment of prostate cancer, specifically targeting patients with biochemical recurrence after radical prostatectomy. The vaccine consists of 13 synthetic peptides: 11 HLA-A*0201-restricted and two HLA class II-restricted peptides derived from prostate-specific tumor-associated antigens. It is designed to stimulate the immune system to mount a T-cell mediated response against cancer cells. Typically administered subcutaneously and emulgated in the adjuvant Montanide ISA-51, the vaccine has been evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials (such as NCT02452307) in combination with various immune-adjuvants, including imiquimod, GM-CSF, and mRNA/protamine complexes, to enhance its immunogenicity and clinical efficacy.
