Overview

A quadruple therapy regimen combining a proton pump inhibitor with colloidal bismuth pectin and two antibiotics (typically amoxicillin and tetracycline or clarithromycin). This combination is primarily used for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication. Colloidal bismuth pectin is a high molecular weight bismuth agent that has a strong affinity for damaged epithelial cells in the gastrointestinal mucosa. When combined with a PPI and antibiotics, it provides high efficacy in H. pylori treatment.
