Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PRS-207 is an investigational oral gut microbiota capsule developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University for the treatment of ulcerative colitis. The therapy consists of a standardized preparation of intestinal microorganisms designed to modulate the gut microbiome and metabolome to induce clinical remission. It is currently being evaluated in a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 0 clinical trial in China, where it is administered as an adjunctive treatment to standard therapy in adult patients with mild to moderate ulcerative colitis. The study aims to characterize the safety profile, clinical efficacy, and the specific changes in microbial diversity and metabolic byproducts associated with the treatment.
