PRS NEUROPAIN (also known as PRS Microglia) is a microglial-based cell therapy developed by Peaches Biotech for the treatment of neuropathic pain, specifically trigeminal neuralgia. Developed using the company's proprietary PRS (Selective Rich Plasma) platform, the therapy utilizes cellular immunomodulation to restore normal microglial function and modulate neuroinflammation. The mechanism of action involves preventing the antigenic recognition of Stress-Associated Patterns (SAPs) and Damage-Associated Molecular Patterns (DAMPs) by neuronal microglia. The drug is currently being evaluated in the Phase 1 NEUROPAINBOOST clinical trial at the University Hospital of Fuenlabrada in Madrid, Spain.
