Overview

Pruridexin is a late-stage topical barrier-repair cream developed by Astion Pharma for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions and chronic pruritus. In 2015, Cipher Pharmaceuticals acquired the worldwide rights to Pruridexin, along with two other dermatology products, from Astion Pharma. This acquisition was part of Cipher's strategy to expand its dermatology pipeline and establish a commercial presence in the U.S. and Canada, with plans to out-license the product in other regions. At the time of acquisition, Pruridexin was considered a late-stage asset.
