Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PRV131 is a nanoengineered intratumoral injectable suspension developed by Privo Technologies for the treatment of solid tumors, with a primary focus on oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). The drug utilizes Privo's proprietary PRV Platform to deliver a highly concentrated polymeric nanoparticle suspension of cisplatin directly into the tumor. This delivery system is designed to provide sustained drug release (lasting over 28 days) and achieve high local concentrations while minimizing systemic exposure and associated toxicities. PRV131 is currently being evaluated as a neoadjuvant therapy to debulk tumors prior to surgery in patients with T1-T3 oral cavity cancer, aiming to improve surgical outcomes and preserve oral tissue.
