PRV311 is a nanoengineered, localized treatment developed by Privo Technologies, Inc. for cervical cancer. It is designed specifically for use in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to address the high prevalence and mortality rates of cervical cancer in these regions. The treatment aims to minimize the need for surgery, reduce risks such as preterm birth, and require fewer patient visits, providing a long-lasting alternative. The drug's development is supported by a Direct-to-Phase II SBIR contract from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and is based on Privo's PRV nanoengineered platform technology, which originated from MIT.
