PS-24 is an AI-discovered small molecule pyrazole-sulphonamide conjugate developed by researchers at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Science. Identified through deep learning-based de novo design algorithms, PS-24 is being investigated for its potential in treating breast cancer and associated osteoporosis. The compound modulates the SNHG16/miRNA-146a/TRAF6 signaling pathway, leading to an increase in miRNA-146a expression and a significant reduction in the expression of the long non-coding RNA SNHG16 and the protein TRAF6. Preclinical studies in rat models of DMBA-induced breast cancer have shown that PS-24 inhibits tumor cell invasion, reduces markers such as Ki-67 and CK20, and improves bone mineral density by regulating the RANK/OPG ratio.
