Overview

PSA-PAH1 is an investigational, prostate-specific antigen (PSA)-activated prodrug designed for the treatment of locally recurrent prostate cancer. The drug is engineered to be activated by PSA, an enzyme overexpressed in prostate cancer tissue, thereby releasing its cytotoxic payload selectively within the tumor microenvironment. This targeted activation aims to minimize systemic toxicity and maximize antitumor efficacy. The primary indication explored in clinical trials has been locally recurrent prostate cancer following biochemical failure after prior therapy[1][3][4].
