Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PSB219 (also known as QLP3119) is a bispecific antibody product developed using Sound Biologics' proprietary MabPair technology. It is designed to simultaneously target and neutralize two key epithelial-derived alarmin cytokines: thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) and interleukin-33 (IL-33). These cytokines play pivotal roles in the initiation and amplification of type 2 (T2) and non-T2 inflammatory pathways in the airways. By dual-targeting these upstream mediators, PSB219 aims to provide superior clinical efficacy in patients with severe asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) compared to therapies targeting a single cytokine. The drug has received Investigational New Drug (IND) clearance from both the U.S. FDA and China's NMPA.
