Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The PSD-95 PET tracer is a diagnostic imaging agent being developed by Avilex Pharma to visualize postsynaptic density protein 95 (PSD-95) in vivo using positron emission tomography (PET). PSD-95 is a critical intracellular scaffolding protein located at excitatory synapses, where it organizes the signaling complex of NMDA receptors and is implicated in various neurological conditions. The tracer is designed using Avilex's proprietary dimeric ligand technology, which targets two protein modules of PSD-95 simultaneously to achieve high affinity and specificity. Intended as a biomarker for neurological disorders and PSD-95-related pathology, the agent is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
