Overview

Pseudolaric acid B is a diterpene acid isolated from the bark of Pseudolarix kaempferi, known for its antifungal, antifertility, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antiangiogenic, and antitumor properties[2][4][6][8][9]. Its main mechanism of action is as a microtubule-destabilizing agent, causing mitotic arrest and apoptosis in tumor cells by inhibiting tubulin polymerization[7][9]. Pseudolaric acid B also circumvents multidrug resistance mediated by P-glycoprotein and affects multiple signaling pathways involved in inflammation and apoptosis, including NF-κB, p38 MAPK, COX-2, PKC-α, and others[1][5][7]. It induces autophagy, modulates immune responses, and demonstrates efficacy in preclinical models of cancer and inflammatory diseases such as atopic dermatitis[5][7][9].
