Pseudovax is an experimental peptide-based cancer vaccine developed by Oslo University Hospital for the treatment of pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP), a rare abdominal cancer. The vaccine targets the mutated GNAS oncogene, specifically the R201H and R201C point mutations in the guanine nucleotide-binding protein α subunit (Gsα), which are present in up to 90% of PMP cases. Pseudovax consists of mutated Gsα 30-mer peptides designed to act as tumor neoantigens, stimulating the immune system to recognize and eliminate cancer cells expressing these specific mutations. In clinical trials, it is administered via intradermal injection in combination with the adjuvant molgramostim (GM-CSF) and the PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor tislelizumab to enhance the anti-tumor immune response in patients with recurrent or non-resectable GNAS-mutated PMP.
