Overview

PSFL-NK13 is an engineered peptide designed for cancer immunotherapy that selectively disrupts the costabilization of CD47 and integrin αvβ3 on the surface of cancer cells. This costabilization facilitates immune evasion by strengthening the CD47-SIRPα "don't eat me" signal, which inhibits macrophage-mediated phagocytosis. Because this specific interaction is absent on erythrocytes, PSFL-NK13 avoids the treatment-limiting anemia often associated with broad CD47 inhibitors. Preclinical studies indicate that PSFL-NK13 enhances macrophage phagocytosis, delays tumor growth, and inhibits angiogenesis without significant hematologic toxicity.
