Psidii is a standardized herbal extract derived from the leaves of *Psidium guajava* (guava), developed by the Indonesian pharmaceutical company Dexa Medica. It contains a complex profile of bioactive secondary metabolites, including flavonoids (most notably quercetin), saponins, oleanolic acid, guaijavarin, and xylopyranoside. Originally marketed as a supportive treatment to increase thrombocyte (platelet) counts in patients with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), Psidii has more recently been investigated for its antiviral and immunomodulatory properties. Research suggests that its components can inhibit critical viral replication enzymes such as RNA-directed RNA polymerase (RdRp), protease, and helicase. In clinical trials for COVID-19, Psidii was evaluated for its ability to improve inflammatory markers, such as the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), and to shorten the duration of viral seroconversion.
