PSIL-001

PSIL-001 is a next-generation, non-hallucinogenic N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT) analogue being developed by Psilera as a small-molecule psychedelic-inspired neurotherapeutic for depressive and neurodegenerative disorders.[3][7] Preclinical models indicate that PSIL-001 produces rapid, psilocybin-like antidepressant effects without eliciting head-twitch responses associated with hallucinations, and it enhances learning and memory performance beyond a psilocybin-mimicking control compound.[3][6] By introducing targeted structural modifications to the DMT scaffold, PSIL-001 is designed to decouple therapeutic neuroplastic and mood-elevating effects from acute psychedelic experiences, with the goal of enabling safe, repeatable, take-home treatment paradigms for conditions such as major depressive disorder, other depressive disorders, and potentially dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.[3][7]
