PSMA-0057 is a theranostic radiopharmaceutical agent developed by Suzhou Ruihe Pharmaceutical Technology for the management of prostate cancer. It consists of a ligand with high affinity for Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), also known as glutamate carboxypeptidase II, which is overexpressed in prostate cancer tissues, especially in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). The agent is designed to be labeled with Gallium-68 ([68Ga]) for diagnostic PET imaging to identify PSMA-positive lesions and with Lutetium-177 ([177Lu]) for targeted radionuclide therapy. The [177Lu]-labeled version delivers therapeutic beta radiation directly to the tumor cells, causing DNA damage and apoptosis, while minimizing exposure to healthy tissues. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials for patients with PSMA-positive mCRPC.
