Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PSMA CAR-T is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by YaKe Biotechnology for the treatment of prostate cancer. The therapy involves engineering a patient's T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), a cell-surface protein highly expressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells, including metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Upon re-infusion into the patient, these engineered T cells target and eliminate PSMA-positive tumor cells through T-cell mediated cytotoxicity. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
