Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PSMA-Dex is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate developed by DexTech Medical AB for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). It is built upon the company's proprietary GuaDex platform, which utilizes a charge-modified, polysulfated dextran backbone with inherent anti-tumor properties. PSMA-Dex specifically incorporates a PSMA-binding tripeptide to target prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), which is highly overexpressed in advanced prostate cancer cells. This conjugate is designed to deliver either radioligand therapy or cytostatic payloads directly to the tumor site, combining the targeting specificity of PSMA ligands with the cytotoxic effects of the GuaDex platform and its attached cargo.
