Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PSMA-targeted ligand-drug conjugate refers to a class of targeted therapeutic agents designed to deliver cytotoxic payloads directly to prostate cancer cells by binding to prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA). Izvarino Pharma, in collaboration with Russian academic institutions (including Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and National University of Science and Technology MISiS), has developed several preclinical candidates within this platform. These include small-molecule conjugates linking PSMA-targeting ligands to various therapeutic payloads, such as docetaxel (PSMA-DOC), abiraterone (PSMA-Abi), and monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE), as well as diagnostic/imaging agents (such as PSMA-SulfoCy7 and PSMA-SulfoCy5). These conjugates aim to improve antitumor efficacy while reducing systemic toxicity compared to free chemotherapeutic agents.
