Overview

Psoralidin is a naturally occurring coumestan isolated from the seeds of *Psoralea corylifolia*. It exhibits significant anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. Its mechanism of action involves the inhibition of the NF-κB and PI3K/Akt signaling pathways, leading to the induction of apoptosis through increased Caspase-3 activity and the suppression of cell proliferation. Research has demonstrated its potential efficacy in various cancers, including esophageal, prostate, and lung cancers, as well as its role in modulating radiation-induced pulmonary inflammation and exhibiting antidepressant-like effects.
