Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PSORI-CM01 is a Chinese herbal medicine formula developed for the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris and stable plaque psoriasis. It is composed of multiple medicinal herbs and is administered orally as a granule or decoction. The formula has demonstrated efficacy in reducing relapse rates and improving clinical symptoms in moderate-to-severe psoriasis patients when used alone or in combination with topical therapies[1][4][5]. Mechanistically, network pharmacology and clinical studies suggest that its therapeutic effects are mediated by modulation of microRNA expression (notably miR-20a-3p and miR-3184-3p), leading to increased autophagy, reduced keratinocyte proliferation, anti-inflammatory effects, regulation of apoptosis, and immunomodulation[7]. Key chemical constituents include paeoniflorin, liquiritin, astilbin (and related flavonoids), engeletin derivatives, glycyrrhizic acid among others[5]. Clinical trials have been conducted primarily in China.
