PSV594 is a preclinical-stage targeted alpha therapy (TAT) radiopharmaceutical being developed by Perspective Therapeutics. It is designed to target the cholecystokinin 2 receptor (CCK2R), which is overexpressed in various solid tumors, including medullary thyroid cancer, small cell lung cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, colorectal cancer, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST). PSV594 utilizes a proprietary lead-specific chelator (PSC) to stably bind the alpha-emitting radioisotope Lead-212 (212Pb) for therapeutic tumor destruction. Additionally, the targeting peptide can be radiolabeled with Lead-203 (203Pb) for SPECT imaging or Gallium-68 (68Ga) for PET imaging, enabling a theranostic approach to patient selection and treatment monitoring.
