Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PSY-0.2 is a psilocybin-based sublingual spray formulation developed within Psilocin Pharma’s “Hydroxy Line,” designed to deliver precisely dosed psilocybin, either naturally derived or synthetic, via the oral mucosa for rapid systemic absorption.[5][7][11] It is intended as a novel delivery system to support clinical research and potential future regulatory approval of psilocybin-assisted therapies for psychiatric indications such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, bulimia, and anorexia nervosa, leveraging psilocybin’s conversion to psilocin, a serotonergic psychedelic that acts primarily as a partial agonist at 5‑HT2A receptors.[1][5][10] The formulation strategy aims to optimize bioavailability and patient-friendly administration while integrating into contemporary psychedelic-assisted treatment paradigms under controlled medical supervision.[5]
