Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PT-002 is a preclinical, bifunctional biologic drug candidate designed by Pandion Therapeutics to achieve tissue-selective immunomodulation in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. It consists of an engineered interleukin‑2 (IL‑2) mutein fused to a tether module that binds mucosal addressin cell adhesion molecule 1 (MAdCAM‑1), thereby localizing IL‑2 receptor stimulation to MAdCAM‑expressing tissues such as gut-associated lymphoid tissue while limiting systemic exposure.[1][5][10] By acting as an IL‑2 receptor agonist in a tissue-targeted manner, PT-002 is intended to expand or modulate regulatory T cells and other IL‑2–responsive immune populations at sites of inflammation, with the goal of restoring immune tolerance and reducing autoimmune pathology while minimizing generalized immunosuppression.[1][5][10]
