Overview

PT-630 is a small molecule inhibitor of dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-4) and fibroblast activation protein (FAP). Developed by Point Therapeutics (later acquired by Midatech Pharma US), it was primarily investigated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. The compound is a boronic acid derivative, specifically Glu-boroPro, which functions by inhibiting prolyl peptidases. These enzymes play significant roles in glucose metabolism and the regulation of the tumor microenvironment. PT-630's development was discontinued during the preclinical stage and did not advance to clinical trials.
