Overview

PT-CD16VS is a genetically modified allogeneic cell therapy derived from human placental circulating T (P-T) cells. It is engineered to express a proprietary CD16 variant and features endogenous T cell receptor (TCR) knockout, enabling it to function as a "universal receptor" platform. This design allows PT-CD16VS to be combined with various monoclonal antibodies, leveraging antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) for targeted cancer cell killing. Preclinical studies have demonstrated potent in vitro and in vivo activity, particularly when used in combination with trastuzumab for HER2-positive cancers, resulting in significant tumor volume reduction compared to standard therapies such as trastuzumab or Enhertu alone. The approach aims to address multiple hematological and solid tumors by harnessing the unique properties of placental-derived T cells[1][3][4][7].
