PT103 (also known as P006) is a humanized monoclonal antibody designed to target CD73 (ecto-5'-nucleotidase), an enzyme that plays a critical role in the adenosine pathway within the tumor microenvironment. CD73 catalyzes the conversion of extracellular adenosine monophosphate (AMP) into adenosine, which acts as a potent immunosuppressive signal that inhibits the activity of T cells and natural killer (NK) cells while promoting the function of regulatory T cells and myeloid-derived suppressor cells. By binding to and inhibiting CD73, PT103 aims to reduce adenosine levels, thereby reversing immune suppression and enhancing the body's anti-tumor immune response. Developed by Phanes Therapeutics, PT103 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, both as a monotherapy and in potential combinations with other immunotherapies.
