Overview

PT199 is a recombinant human IL-12/IL-15 bifunctional fusion protein being developed by Van Enshi Pharmaceutical (Beijing) Co., Ltd. for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. It is designed to leverage the synergistic effects of Interleukin-12 (IL-12) and Interleukin-15 (IL-15) to enhance the anti-tumor immune response. IL-12 is a potent pro-inflammatory cytokine that promotes the differentiation of Th1 cells and the production of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), while IL-15 is critical for the proliferation, survival, and activation of natural killer (NK) cells and CD8+ T cells. By combining these two cytokines into a single fusion protein, PT199 aims to stimulate both innate and adaptive immunity within the tumor microenvironment. It is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in patients with unresectable or metastatic solid tumors who have progressed after standard therapy or have no tolerable standard options.
