Overview

PTB-09 (also known as PBTX-09) is a preclinical-stage nutraceutical candidate developed by Next Innovative Therapeutics (Nintx). It is designed to modulate the microbiome gut-skin axis to address skin health. Developed using Nintx's proprietary GAIApath® and xGIbiomics® platforms, which leverage Brazil's rich biodiversity to identify plant-based natural products, PTB-09 aims to influence skin conditions indirectly by targeting and balancing the gut microbiome. The candidate is currently in preclinical development, with clinical evaluation projected to begin around 2027.
