Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PTC-2107 is a gerotherapeutic peptide developed by Eos SENOLYTIX (formerly Senotherapeutix) for the treatment of aging-related diseases, with a primary focus on Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). As a senolytic agent, PTC-2107 is designed to selectively induce apoptosis in senescent cells—cells that have ceased dividing but remain metabolically active, secreting pro-inflammatory factors that contribute to tissue fibrosis and organ decline. The peptide is part of a platform of optimized senotherapeutic candidates acquired by Pulmatrix through its merger with Eos SENOLYTIX. Given Pulmatrix's expertise in respiratory drug delivery, PTC-2107 is being positioned for potential administration via inhalation using the iSPERSE technology to target senescent cell accumulation directly in the lungs.
