Overview

PTG-200 (JNJ-67864238) is a first-in-class, oral peptide drug that acts as a selective antagonist of the interleukin-23 receptor (IL-23R). It is designed to block IL-23 signaling locally in intestinal tissues by binding to the IL-23 receptor. The drug was developed for gastrointestinal-restricted action with minimal systemic exposure. Its primary indication was for the treatment of moderate to severe Crohn's disease. PTG-200 was co-developed by Protagonist Therapeutics and Janssen Biotech[1][3][7][8].
