PTH-rhMSC is an investigational genetically modified cell therapy consisting of recombinant human mesenchymal stem cells (rhMSCs) engineered to express parathyroid hormone (PTH). Developed by the Shenzhen Ruipuxun Academy for Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine, the therapy is designed to provide a sustained, physiological release of PTH to regulate calcium and phosphate homeostasis. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial in China as a potential treatment for hypoparathyroidism, aiming to offer an alternative or supportive approach to standard calcium and calcitriol supplementation.
