**PTL101** is an investigational oral formulation of highly purified cannabidiol (CBD) embedded in seamless gelatin matrix beadlets, designed to improve bioavailability and provide consistent gastrointestinal transit time compared to existing CBD products. Developed by PhytoTech Therapeutics (also known as MMJ PhytoTech Ltd), it targets pediatric treatment-resistant epilepsy (TRE), demonstrating significant seizure reduction in a phase II trial where 56% of patients achieved ≥50% reduction in monthly seizure frequency and two became seizure-free, with good tolerability despite mild adverse effects like sleep disturbances.[1][3][5]
